2016 Hiyu Pinot Gris
This is made from our remaining half acre of Pinot Gris and is an hommage to the time I spent with Christian and Serena at Ronco del Gnemiz in Friuli. It is directly pressed without maceration and aged in neutral barrels on the lees in the fashion of traditional Burgundy. Like the best wines made in this style from Friuli it has an ease that emerges from the culture and climate and a precision that comes from intention and dreams of the Côte d'Or.
